UPDATE: the bride didn’t go for this design and since i don’t have the time right now to give her what she needs, i referred her to my sister, who has her own stationary collection…  THE BURNETT COLLECTION.  she will take awesome care of this bride! thanks, sis, for the help! 😉

i was recently contacted by a wedding planner whose bride had been done VERY wrong by her invitation designer.  she wanted me to step in with a custom design that the bride could use to take to her printer for her wedding invitations. she wanted a vintage country/western theme with shades of brown and specifically a wall of wooden boards.  this is the first design i’ve come up with to show her…

what do you think? does it make you think of a romantic fall wedding in a sweet country setting?

i am ironman…

my son’s 4th birthday was last week and we worked really hard to come up with the coolest iron man party ever.  to help with the awesome decorations,  i put together a few ideas for a birthday banner and a water bottle label.

it was a great party, especially when iron man ACTUALLY showed up! 😉

my mother in law’s birthday is next month so i took it upon myself to create summer themed invitations for her birthday bbq… she loves them! (and they DON’T mention the fact that she will be 50 this year…lol)

this event is now over, but i wanted to share the poster i created for Pearl Bottom Radio for their last gig…

so it’s been awhile since i’ve posted but i’ve been busy with summer and creating some other really cool stuff for Twist Event Designs. Lindy, Mara & Kelli needed some business cards…

AND… 2 logos for a bridal show they are working on in September…

If you are a bridal vendor in Middle GA (or online!), you should contact them to be apart of this event!

so i just finished the design for my daughter’s birthday party invitations and they turned out so great.  i’m waiting for the printed invites to show you how they turned out “for real”, which should be in on monday or tuesday…but i couldn’t wait to post this…

I’m also thinking about using this design to make her a t-shirt…maybe…

so what do you think?

i just completed yet another group of ads for a spring campaign for My Tickle Spot.  these were to add a touch of spring to their ever simple ad look.  with the crazy “wintery mix” that we have been experiencing here in GA, i was glad to get to look at some flowers and think about the upcoming warm weather… so what do you think? do these make you want to click on them?

(and just in case i need to explain this, these particular discounts do not apply, as the company will be able to change them for the REAL sales…)

Here are the printable rack cards that Lindy requested for Twist Event Designs. I love how these turned out!

I just finished revamping a website for my friend, Lindy.  She owns and runs a small event planning company called Twist Event Designs. She and her pals/colleagues do an amazing job! If you live in GA, you should definitely check her out.  Twist Event Designs could save you a ton of money while making your event look like it cost a fortune!

Here’s the new home page:

So (obviously) I really like wordpress, so when she asked me to do a website with an integrated blog, I immediately went searching for a wordpress template that would run like a company site, but have the ease of being on the wordpress platform (plus, I’m a sucker for plug-ins…lol) That’s when I found this template by RichWP.  It’s a little pricey for a blog at $69.90, but for a company site it’s a steal!  I can’t believe how much people charge for template designs for corporate sites… usually upwards of $500!!!  But anyway, I tweaked the design a little to get it just right for her and voila! I am pretty sure I nailed this one “spot-on”!

It’s feminine with a twist of modern couture (haha, pun was not intended but definitely works…lol).  And the plug-ins I found make this site unique and super user-friendly (for her AND her clients).  After all the additions, http://www.twistmyevent.com now offers a flash photo gallery, an editable event calendar and the integrated blog she wanted.

I am so in love with this site! I almost want to tell her that she can’t go in and edit it, so that I can be in charge of it always…

Oh well… gotta let go, I guess…lol
